Pear Shape Diamonds

Pear Diamond
AKA teardrop shape, has around 58 facets and is one of the most individual of all the diamond shapes. Not a popular choice amongst the general population, however they are known to be popular in large sizes amongst the rich and famous. Pear shape diamonds are closest related to the heart shape and marquise shape diamonds and are a true classic. Individually their cost is usually less than a round brilliant diamond however a matching pair can fetch substantially higher due to their rarity, since they are hard to match as a pair. A good length to width ratio is 1.5:1 however it can vary dramatically with acceptance, as it also depends on the style of the jewellery item and taste of the customer.
