Women who wear an emerald cut diamond are usually not concerned about a flashy diamond that gets a lot of attention but are more focused about their individuality and creativity. An ideal length to width ratio is between 1.5:1 to 1.75:1. This shape (like any other non brilliant diamond) can look a grade lower in clarity, so for people with good eyes that don't want to see any inclusions in the diamond (with the naked eye) it is recommended that they go for an emerald cut diamond of at least 1 grade higher in clarity than the minimum clarity they will accept for a brilliant cut diamond.
